THE RISE OF JAHVEL, MUSICAL ENTERTAINER
You might have heard a few hot songs recently, as this artist quickly rises to the mainstream and becomes a household name for most people. Jahvel is no newbie to the music industry and brings a strong presence, along with harmonies, good concepts and melodies to last a lifetime.
WHERE IT ALL BEGUN
Born July 27th 1995, Javan Burrell, where music was a talent running through Jahvel’s blood.Jahvel’s father and grandfather are well known reggae artists; Culture Dollar who is his father and his grandfather- the in the legend icon of Roland Burrell – Also known as Mr Johnny Dalla. Jahvel has now come to bring a new lane of reggae music for the current generation to enjoy.
THE JOURNEY
In the early stages of his career he was known as J. Blacks, but later decided to add part of his given middle name to derive with his current stage name as Jahvel-which means ‘Gift Of God’, later adding ‘Di Bless One’ after realizing that he is the first born and only son for both parents.
At the age of 12, Jahvel wrote his first official song called “baby I love you”, while he was still attending high school (Newell High School), he was deemed the most talented student attending the school at that time. At the age of 18, he built his own recording studio, called 'Talent Squad Records' and started recording songs while doing his engineering (mixing, mastering,etc).
At age 20, Jahvel started to receive recognition in the music industry when he released his first single, "Nah Dead Poor” on iTunes, Amazon and 32 other music platforms, the single received worldwide exposure and great feedback, with radio air plays on several local and international radio stations including; Hot 102 FM, Irie FM, Zip FM. His second release "Keep Me Calm" was released a year later.
HIGHLIGHTS
Jahvel has had a number of media appearances in his career thus far, like performances on Smile Jamaica, interviews with Intense and staged performances in Trinidad which all received positive feedback, including a recent interview with Pelpa Time TV highlighting his musical career and upcoming projects.
ACHIEVEMENTS & FUTURE PLANS
Jahvel have been working with several record labels while on the musical rise, these include; Streetz Boss Entertainment, Likkle Peppa Records and Dj Treasure Records. A major musical milestone was achieved when he signed his first international record deal with Hamage Records Canada; A Dancehall/Reggae/Urban record label located in Canada, with whom he has also released a number of singles including his first critically acclaimed single “Brace it” which has achieved huge success on digital media platforms and streaming platforms worldwide. He have managed to achieve these numbers again with his second single released with Hamage Records, “ADENI”. This single has received worldwide airplay and created traction on social media platforms.
The label’s first studio album AXUM is out now and features the following tracks performed by Jahvel; “Axum”, “ADENI”, “Boasy”, “Live Right” and “Naa Start and Stop”. Jahvel has had a wide range of successful singles in the recent years, including his single “My God' prod. by Streetz Boss Ent. and some of his most recent singles include “Golden Style”, “Fresh” and “Every Pree”. LOOK OUT FOR MORE
Jahvel has a new collaboration with dancehall artist BlakkMan and is currently working on the music video for ADENI. He is also working on his debut album EUPHONY, produced by Hamage Records Canada. The future is bright for Jahvel as he plans to do more collaboration with his family and fellow artists to show the vitality and versatility within the music industry.
